Hi I’m Kevin,
As a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist I feel very privileged as I get to help people to grow out of their issues and I get to spend some incredibly important time with them while they find their way.
I aim to provide a space to enable people to explore who they truly are in a supportive and safe environment.
Our relationships with others and importantly with ourselves are the cornerstone of our peace of mind, so often the lines become crossed and thoughts blurred and this can lead to a feelings of confusion or sadness.
Our relationships with ourselves are not always based on kindness and forgiveness and my focus is to work with individuals, couples and families to help guide and explore the messages we are sending and understand how often we are still using outdated and unhelpful life rules.
My goal is to help you to understand the intricacies of the relationships we have with others and crucially the dynamics we have with ourselves, often it is the relationship we have with ourselves which affects all our other relationships.
if you feel confused, a bit lost, numb or find yourself tied up in knots about someone or something then counselling can help you to understand yourself better, learn why we follow unhelpful patterns of thinking and how we can move through them to better and healthier thinking.
By accepting you for all your uniqueness with empathy and understanding I hope that it becomes easier to accept yourself and begin to grow as a person.
I can offer you space and time in an accepting, confidential and warm place where you can explore who you are in an unbiased and non judgemental environment.
You can bring to the surface whatever you decide you want to look at and I will make sure that we can understand what it is, in a safe and ethical way.

We can work to your schedule around job/family commitments, without any pressure with regards to frequency/number of appointments. Sessions are led by you and the focus is on your feelings about your situation without any judgement.
What you can expect.
After you call or e mail I will arrange a free telephone consultation where we can talk about how you are feeling and what you would like to happen, after that there are options of weekly face to face sessions at my therapy room which are located away from busy areas in a private and quite lovely location or if travel is not possible I also offer Skype / FaceTime video counselling which is proving very popular with with many.
You decide the amount of sessions as you go along.
The therapy room is secluded comfortable and private and all information is confidential, as an accredited member I abide by the National Counselling society’s ethical framework which ensures safeguarding of all clients.
As part of my professional practice I receive regular supervision for clinical support in accordance with NCS guidelines and I am registered with the GDPR to hold confidential information safely.
There is private off road parking.

My hope is that during the counselling process you will connect with yourself once again, gain a greater sense of self, the key to empowering you to overcome life's difficulties and achieving happiness and contentment.
My counselling philosophy is based on my belief that people are never truly broken although it can definitely feel that way: sometimes we just get disconnected from who we really are or think we are and what we really feel, leaving us lost and despairing. My hope is that during the counselling process you will discover the real you once again and gain a greater sense of yourself, overcome life's trials and get back some peace of mind and contentment. My focus is to help individuals through counselling to understand who they are, what they are dealing with, to become aware of their real selves. We can achieve this by creating a safe space, without preconception, really listening to your concerns, and helping you to find the answers you are looking for..
